Refund Policy
Effective June 27, 2026
What you're buying
The only paid feature on Hootenanny is an optional, one-time photo album for a single event (7-day or 90-day). This policy explains when an album can be refunded — and how a refund is handled depends on where you bought it, because the app stores run their own refund systems.
Our approach
We want you to get what you paid for. As a rule:
- we'll refund an album that's unused — if you ask before the event starts and before any photos have been uploaded;
- if a technical problem on our end stops the album from working as described, we'll make it right or refund you;
- once photos have been uploaded or the event has passed, the album is a digital product that's been delivered and used, so it's generally not refundable — except where a refund is required by law.
For web purchases, this is the policy Paddle applies on our behalf. For purchases inside our mobile apps, refunds follow the app store's own policies and are between you and that store.
If you bought on the web
Web purchases are sold and refunded by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. To request a refund, contact Paddle's buyer support at paddle.net — a link is also on your Paddle receipt. Paddle handles refunds in line with this policy and applicable law (including any statutory right of withdrawal) and issues any refund to your original payment method.
If you bought through an app store
If you bought an album inside our iPhone, iPad, or Android app, the sale was made through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Refunds for those purchases are handled entirely under the store's own refund policy and are between you and the app store — request them directly there:
- Apple App Store — reportaproblem.apple.com;
- Google Play — through your Google Play account or the Play Store app.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer-protection law.
